How should I prepare for a carpet cleaning?
In the areas that we will be cleaning, please remove small items (floor plants, magazine racks, chairs, etc.) and any breakable items from any furniture we may need to move to completely clean your flooring. Full-length draperies should be pinned up at least 6″ off the floor. If your upholstered furniture has any skirts that touch the carpet, please pin them up.
Are there any furniture items you don't move?
To keep your delicate and valuable items safe, we do not move fragile furniture, china cabinets, computer equipment, entertainment centers, or sectional sofas. We will clean around the base or underneath those items where sufficient room is available.
What should I tell the carpet cleaning technician during the pre-inspection?
Please advise us of any special instructions to follow when moving or navigating around any furniture, such as previous repairs, weak legs, or loose table tops. Please also point out any spots or stains that are particularly concerning to you, so we can apply special treatments to these areas.
What should I avoid during the cleaning and as the flooring dries?
To keep everyone safe, please keep your pets and children out of the areas we are cleaning during our service and as the flooring dries afterwards. Slippery surfaces can be hazardous if not handled appropriately. Be extremely cautious when walking from damp carpet to any hard surface area.
How should I care for the carpet after cleaning?
Please leave the plastic “tabs” and “blocks” under furniture after your cleaning for at least 48 hours. Wait until the carpet is dry before moving any furniture back to the cleaned areas. Clean spills and stains immediately, vacuum regularly, remove shoes to walk around the house, and use door mats to minimize dirt and grime buildup.
How long does it take for the carpet to dry?
This depends on many factors, but the average drying time is about eight hours
